Cooperative Engineering Program between the Missouri University of Science & Technology

Missouri State University and the Missouri University of Science & Technology are proud to offer two engineering programs on the Missouri State University campus - Civil and Electrical Engineering. Missouri State University will continue to offer a strong pre-engineering program to all students who wish to transfer to Missouri University of Science & Technology and major in other fields of engineering.

The Cooperative Engineering Program will be phased in over a four year period. Year 1 of the Civil and Electrical programs will be offered during the 2008-2009 academic year on the Missouri State University campus. Years 1 and 2 will be offered during the 2009-2010 academic year. Years 1-3 will be offered during the 2010-2011 academic year, and the full program will be offered starting in the 2011-2012 academic year. The first graduates of the Cooperative Engineering Program will be in May 2012. The Cooperative Engineering Program is being developed to meet all ABET accreditation standards.

Enrollment Restriction Starting January 2010:  In order to ensure that we provide a quality education for our students, it has become necessary to place a geographic restriction on the Cooperative Engineering Program.  Enrollment in the program has exceeded our expectations and we are concerned that we will not have the faculty and resources to educate all of the students.    Students who are admitted to Missouri State University prior to January 1, 2010 and who enroll for classes at MSU during the spring 2010 semester are eligible for the program regardless of their residency.  This includes out-of-state and international students.  Students who are admitted after January 1, 2010 are required to have residency in Greene or the surrounding counties in order to be eligible for enrollment into the Cooperative Engineering Program.  We apologize for this restriction, but it is necessary to balance resources and enrollment in the program.  As the program matures, we may be able to remove the enrollment restriction in the future.  Please click on the following link for more details:  Enrollment Restriction.
