Computer Science Research Opportunity for Smart Environments (ROSE) is a new RET site at Missouri State University (MSU) funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The College of Natural and Applied Sciences and College of Education will host 30 middle and high school STEM teachers (10 per year) on campus from southwest Missouri. ROSE will provide a unique summer research experience and academic year support for the participating teachers and they will work alongside MSU Computer Science faculty members and graduate students to discover research challenges and practical solutions for next-generation smart environments covering the following areas:
- Internet of Things
- Artificial Intelligence
- Security
- Data Mining
