Requirements to be admitted to the MSU S-STEM Program
- Students should meet the Unmet Financial Need (You need to complete a FAFSA application for the upcomming year).
- Unmet Need = Cost of Attendance – Expected Family Contribution – Other grants and
Scholarships
- Applicants must be US citizens, permanent residents, US nationals or admitted refugees.
- First time new in college students must have a high school GPA of 2.85 or higher,
or ACT score of at least 21, or SAT score of at least 1060.
Requirements to Remain in the MSU S-STEM Program
- Students should meet the Unmet Financial Need every year.
- Students must maintain an overall MSU GPA of 2.85/4.0 or higher.
- Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester of coursework required
in their intended major.
- Remain in an eligible major (Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics,
or Physics).
